This is what I do to save 💸 while exploring Tokyo.
You may be familiar with the IC cards like the Suica or ICOCA because they're pretty much easy to use as you only have to top up when needed. You use these cards to pay for your fare, so basically you are paying the fare by card and not by paper money. Easy as pie.
But did you know, that there's a subway pass in Tokyo that can let you explore the city using the metro subway lines without restrictions?
This pass is called the Tokyo Metro Subway Pass (see photo 02)
The pass is valid for 24, 48 and 72 hrs on Toei Subway and Tokyo Metro lines (see photo 03). The best thing about this pass is that you can explore the whole city of Tokyo without spending too much especially since majority of Tokyo's iconic spots are accessible to nearby subway station so you'll be able to utilize this pass quick and easy.
Personally, I am an ICOCA user but I still use this pass (used it multiple times lol) to explore Tokyo whenever I'm there.
