About Me

Jared Lister is an author, essayist, screenwriter and poet (although he prefers the term rhymer out of respect to actual poets). His work often combines very disparate elements drawn from his wide scope of interests, including the underlying motivations of human relationships, metaphysics, systemic corruption, altered states, spirituality and the beauty and complexities of urban life, told through the filter of his artistic interests that include Classic and New-Wave cinema, Hip Hop, stand -up comedy and espionage thrillers to name a few. Born and raised in the heart of London in Camden Town and coming of age during the era when it was one of the most culturally vibrant areas in the world, where every subculture found a home, each contributing to the melting pot that informs Lister’s work both culturally and structurally. He is driven to create by the belief that art and narrative is both the manifestation of the collective consciousness and a tool to inform it, reshape it and guide humanity towards a positive experience of reality.
