About Me

I am a jazz pianist, organist, and bandleader from the western United States. Throughout the past half a decade, I have dedicated my musical interest to jazz and swing music from the 1920s - 1940s. Ever since I first heard Count Basie's 1937 version of "Honeysuckle Rose," I have been absolutely enthralled with the art form of jazz.

I specialize in the Harlem Stride piano style of jazz, most popular from the 1920s through the 1940s. Pianists such as "Fats" Waller, Duke Ellington, and Teddy Wilson have served as great influence for me, and they continue to inspire me to develop my own style. I also specialize in jazz organ, in the theater organ style (popular in the 1920s during the days of silent film).

I have been transcribing music for some time now, both band charts and solos. It all started as the unavailability of transcriptions for the music I love, and has since become part of the very core of my work as a band leader. You may have found me from musescore or youtube. As an update, in some time my charts on my musescore channel will be hidden due to past incidents of stolen work.
