Jim Loughery is a pianist, composer, arranger, author and pedagogue living in Cincinnati, Ohio. Loughery earned his BM and MM in piano performance, jazz, and composition and has taught privately for over 10 years. Active as a local classical and jazz pianist in solo and group settings, Loughery is also a regularly commissioned composer featured internationally on concert and radio programs.

The Jim’s Gems book series is a natural extension of Loughery’s long experience and love of teaching and arranging for piano, and his desire to make great arrangements of great music available for pianists and teachers everywhere.
