About Me

Most people looking for an overseas job ask the same question:

“How do I know this opportunity is real before I spend my time and money on it?”

Jojemae Amas started asking that question after talking with Filipinos who had worked abroad, were preparing to leave, or had gone through the recruitment process themselves.

The stories were different. The questions were often the same.

Who is recruiting me?

What is the actual job?

What documents do I need?

What fees am I being asked to pay?

How can I check if what I’m being told is true?

That led to the creation of Overseas Jobs for Filipinos Checklist, a practical guide built around five simple checks:

Recruiter → Job → Documents → Fees → Verification

Jojemae holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Development Management from Negros Oriental State University, where she studied from 2012 to 2016 as an academic scholar and Dean’s List awardee.

Since 2020, she has worked in digital marketing and SEO, handling backlink building, outreach, research, local citations, guest posts, niche edits, competitor research, and content-related work.

That work taught her to question what she sees online instead of taking every claim at face value.

She brought that same habit to overseas job offers.

The result is a simple resource for Filipinos who want to slow down, ask better questions, and check an opportunity before committing more time or money.

Check first. Decide second.

That’s the idea behind Overseas Jobs for Filipinos Checklist.
