I’m Joyce Gathara, an English teacher and lifelong educator with a passion for helping learners find the confidence to use the English they already know.

Over the years, I have worked with learners from different countries, backgrounds and levels of English. Again and again, I have met students who can understand English, read it and know a great deal of vocabulary—but when it is time to speak, they hesitate, overthink their words or lose confidence.

That experience inspired me to create Joyce Gathara Learning and Speak English Confidently.

My approach to learning is simple: progress should feel encouraging, practical and achievable. Learners should be given opportunities to practise without being afraid of making mistakes, because confidence grows through using the language—not waiting until everything is perfect.

Through Joyce Gathara Learning, I hope to create practical resources that help learners communicate more naturally, believe in their abilities and discover the confidence to use their own voice.
