Today is Wednesday. Melisha was in a deep sleep. She was breathing but she was not waking up. Probably she was in Acoma. I didn't know what to do. Maybe her doze was intercepted by the hallucinations of an unworldly being. She might be imprisoned by illusions of demonic confrontation.

It was 1:00 pm and the atmosphere outside was dark. It was as if Melisha and I were stuck in a loop of eternal night. The baleful storm was getting worse. The lightning flashed repeatedly and the thunder was roaring and rattled my heart with its baritone note. The house shivered while the voice of the thunder reverberated. To my surprise, Melisha was still trapped in her doze. There was no reception. The electricity was still on which was good despite the storm. I didn't feel famished. Bam! Bam! Bam! Bam! Someone knocked on the front door. It sounded like it was Jean. I could hear her voice but I had doubts—maybe she was a demon that wanted to devour my soul. What if it was Jean [the actual one] knocking at my front door? At this point in my life, I was very confused. My hesitancy might cause Jean to die at the hands of a demon outside or I might invite a demon inside of the house. I needed to make the right decision but I didn't know what was right from wrong at this point. I was psychologically struggling to make a decision.

"Mattew! Mattew! It's me, Jean. Open the door. Open the door! Please! Please, Mattew! Mattew!" Jean yelled as if she was about to die. As I opened the door and she rushed in: I saw a woman in a black tattered dress staring at me. Her eyes were white. She was sprinting towards the front door as Jean hurriedly try to close it. One of the woman's pale hands stopped the door from closing. The terrifying sounds of the aggressive demon scratched my ears as she tried to enter the house. Her long claw-like black fingernails almost cut me while I was using a baseball bat to break her hand. I broke her hand then Jean and I managed to close the front door. If I hadn’t opened the door Jean would have died by the wrath of a strange entity. I saved her life.

"What the hell is going on?" She snarled at me. The demon woman in the tattered black dress was trying to enter the house but she couldn’t. She hammered the door repeatedly until she stopped.

"Mattew, what the hell is going on?" Jean asked. She had a horrifying physiognomy.

"What happened to you?"

"When I was driving my car up here a big tree fell almost crushing my car. I am lucky to be alive. I had a near-death experience. I came out of the car in the rain and started walking. I felt like there was something following me. I tried to call you but there was no signal. All of a sudden, a lady in a black dress appears out of nowhere and started chasing me for no reason. She smelled like sewage. I ran as fast as I could to get away from her. She was frigging fast. It wasn’t easy outrunning that possessed woman. That thing that I saw outside wasn't human. She looked like a frigging demon. I thought demons weren't real."

"It was a demon, Jean. It's hard to explain but the only thing keeping us alive is the house. It is protecting us from those demons out there but at the same time, we are trapped in here." I responded. Jean was soaked. Water was dripping off of her. She saw Melisha on the sofa asleep. She became very curious.

"What is Melisha doing here, Mattew?"

"She and I escaped from a spirit that tried to kill us when we were going to the lake. We have been in the house since the paranormal incident occurred. I have been taking care of her."

"Did you?"

"No, Jean. I didn't do anything. I used to babysit her when she was younger. She is like a sister to me."

"Okay. What happened to her?"

"Long story short. She fainted from yesterday."

"Yesterday? How long have both of you been here?"

"Three days now," I responded. Jean checked if Melisha had a fever and checked her pulse. She concluded that Melisha was okay—she was just sleeping. Jean told me that she was going upstairs to take a shower but I told her not to go because the demon hand was still in the bathroom that I chopped to pieces. She used the bathroom downstairs instead. She had a lot of clothes in the room downstairs.

After ten minutes, Jean exited the room with a towel drying her hair. She felt more comfortable now that she was in dried clothes. Melisha woke up and struggled to breathe. I was scared because I didn't know what was happening to her. Jean asked Melisha how she felt but she could speak. She had a terrified look on her face as if she has woken from a nightmare. Jean and I saw that something was moving inside of her throat. Melisha vomited three big fishes that were alive. How was that even possible? I didn't even hesitate to kill the three fishes with my baseball bat. I had a feeling that I had to kill the three fishes or otherwise something very bad was going to happen. Melisha was experiencing prostration due to her uncommon accouchement of three live fish. She was not injured by the strange phenomenon.

"Melisha, talk to me. What just happened?" I asked.

"I was at the bottom of the lake. There were bones and skulls everywhere. I felt like I was drowning so I started swimming to the surface but it was as if I couldn't. I saw Jean running from a woman in a black dress. SHE told her to kill Jean, Mattew. SHE pulled me back to the bottom of the lake and told me that she was going to kill all of us. After SHE said that, SHE shoved three fish in my mouth which were her children. They were supposed to possess me and change me into a demon but the spell that is protecting the house stopped her children from manifesting. Mattew, you killed three of her children. She is very upset." Melisha informed me. Jean started freaking out because she couldn't believe what had just happened. She saw Melisha vomit three live fish and she knew that was impossible. Of course, anyone would freak out. This place was seriously haunted and there was no mistake about that.

Wait, something wasn't right. I could feel that something bad was going to happen. That was when it happened. A lot of water started rushing underneath the front door. When Melisha, Jean, and I looked through the window, water was everywhere. A flood was happening and we had to find a way to survive the sudden tribulation. The water plunged through the windows and doors and downstairs was flooded within seconds. The three of us were underneath the frigid water. I managed to swim to the staircase where I waited for Jean and Melisha. I didn't see any of them. After a minute, I saw Melisha surface the water. I was wondering where Jean was. I pulled Melisha on the staircase and dived in the water to search for Jean before it was too late. I feared that the bitter hands of death would get her before I do.

An invisible entity was trying to pull Jean through the back door but she held on to the door jamb with every ounce of energy she had left in her muscles. I pulled her towards me then together both of us surfaced the water. There were fish everywhere. Melisha helped both of us on the staircase. We went into my room, closed the door, sealed underneath the door with towels, and rested.

"If all of us make it out alive. I swear to God we are never coming back to this town no matter what." Jean remarked.

"Mattew," Melisha was looking through the window, "Come and have a look at this." She said. Jean and I both looked through the window and we were astounded by what we saw. It was as if we were in the middle of a rough ocean. We were all freaking out. We couldn't believe what was happening. The paranormal affairs kept getting worse.

"What are we going to do, Mattew?" Jean asked.

"I don't think we can do anything. All we have to do is wait it out." I responded.

"Shit," Melisha looked at the door, "The water is coming in already."

"Guys, we are not going to die," I said to comfort the two women. The bathroom door opened slowly with a loud creak: It got our attention. A strange man in full black with two longhorns egressed the bathroom. His skin was pale gray and his ears were pointy. His eyes were red. He was a demon. His long mustache along with his beard gave him a serious facial expression. His shoulder-length hair was propelled by a strong wind that came out of the bathroom. The demon was seven feet tall. He greeted Jean. Melisha and I in a deep demonic voice.

"Hello, my name is Han'o maha and I am a child of SHE. I have a very important message for all of you. Mattew, Melisha, and Jean. Your deaths are due."

"No, you can't kill us and you know you can't. You are a coward just like SHE." I uttered bravely.

"How dare you open that filthy mouth of yours and disrespect my mother. I shall show you true pain." Han'o maha said aggressively. He grabbed my throat and tried to strangle me to death while Jean and Melisha tried to help me. He shoved Melisha in the bathroom and slapped Jean on the ceiling. He was powerful but I didn't fear him. I punched him a couple of times but that only made him upset. He slapped me to the other side of the room. I reached for the Hacranium knife that my father used to use. The Hacranium had a redbone handle and a blade made from bone and sorcery. I stabbed Han'o maha in one of his legs with the Hacranium knife and smoke oozed from it. He was surprised. He didn’t expect to be wounded by such a magical blade.

"It can't be. It can't be. It is you all along that have had the Hacranium knife—the blade of death." Han’o maha uttered. He smashed through the window and disappeared. Now, I had a weapon that the demons were afraid of. Melisha egressed the bathroom, closed the door, and walked towards me exhaustingly. Jean got up and sat on the bed. She was feeling a little dizzy. We were still alive.
