Julia Saffold is a multifaceted author, mentor, and empowerment leader who equips ministry teams, leaders, and individuals to walk in purpose, embrace their calling, and build lasting legacies. As a seasoned woman of faith and resilience, Julia cherishes her roles as wife, mother, and matriarch, living her life on purpose to build a legacy that has lasting impact.

Widely recognized as a Music Ministry Empowerment Leader, Julia brings over four decades of experience as a highly sought-after choir directress and ministry mentor. She began directing choirs in 1978 at just fifteen years old, and has since inspired countless music ministry teams. In 2019, she launched The Triumphant in Worship V.I.P. (Victorious in Praise) Experience; a worship arts conference designed to strengthen and renew music ministries through spiritual encouragement, skills training, and team-building. 

At the heart of her calling is a deep desire to minister to music teams, encouraging them to build dynamic ministries that reflect the heart of God. Flowing from her calling as a Music Ministry Empowerment Leader, Julia facilitates music workshops, ministry retreats, directors’ trainings, and offers leadership support. In her newly released book, The Choir in the Mirror, Julia invites her readers to reflect, realign, and renew their passion to serve with both skill and spiritual depth. This resource is already inspiring meaningful conversations among choir leaders, worship teams, and musicians, paving the way for collaboration and even citywide gatherings.

Julia’s passion for encouragement also extends beyond music ministry, serving in her daughter’s book publishing business, where she is fondly known as “Coach Julia, The Author’s Doula.” In this role, she has mentored hundreds of aspiring authors, helping them birth (self-publish) books that heal, uplift, and inspire by transforming their personal stories into tools for empowerment and legacy-building. Beyond her work as a book writing coach, Julia also mentors purpose‑driven individuals, drawing on pearls of wisdom from her book Life‑Work on Purpose by guiding them through her signature seven‑step coaching curriculum to press through adversity, embrace their life’s purpose, and build lasting legacies.

Her passion for uplifting others is further expressed while touring with her daughter’s youth empowerment events. Affectionately known as Mama Jewel, Julia draws from her journey as a mother and grandmother, offering sage wisdom through her book, The Beyond Beautiful Treasure Box, which she shares in schools and family‑serving agencies. The book sparks meaningful conversations with youth and adults about emotional resilience, identity, and inner strength. Her upcoming book Raising Diamonds That Shine deepens this mission by offering seven empowering gems for parents to help youth grow with clarity, courage, and resilience.
