As I sit here and type this and make this online space, I’m watching the birds fly in close and eat bird seed off my back deck. I’m on a couch of colorful pillows and surrounded by my art supplies. It truly is my happy space. It’s a beautiful start to the day on Lake Erie and my shop will be opening in an hour. I’ve been getting up earlier and earlier and its feels great. Giving myself time to do stuff in the mornings before the doors open. Part of my shop is made up of things I make. I’m a creator who just can’t stop. I live to create, and without doing so, life is not the same! Never stop learning and never stop playing! So my intention for this space is to share with everyone what i’m working on, bringing to life and create tutorials for those who want to follow along and make too! I just filmed myself painting some whimsy flowers yesterday, it’s a mixed media piece. And I just put it up online! Whohoo! One of the perks of getting up early before the doors open and you get pulled in a million directions - you have alone time to sit and relax and give things full focus. So we got it done! My first tutorial is 35 mins long. It’s just a raw, sit along side me as I paint. You may hear the birds in the background! Yup, this season of my life is creating intentionally and feeding birds! And I love it! My people have asked if I would do paint tutorials, so here we go! I hope you will see a tutorial that jumps out to you! Or collect them all! See ya inside the video, Sonia, xo
