Casey Kuma is a New Jersey–born arranger, vocalist, and producer currently studying Popular Music Performance at the USC Thornton School of Music. He’s been singing since the age of six starting in his church choir. From 2022–2025 Casey attended A Cappella Academy where he studied under some of the most respected names in contemporary a cappella including Ben Bram and Rob Dietz. Those experiences introduced him to the world of a cappella arranging and helped shape his artistry and performance abilities.

In 2025, Casey was recognized as National YoungArts Competition Winner before receiving Winner with Distinction the following year. Alongside his arranging work he has continued performing throughout his first year at USC at venues such as the El Rey Theatre and the Moroccan Lounge while studying with faculty including Greg Phillinganes Andy Abad Mike Mennell and Lyndia Johnson.

Casey is also a member of The SoCal VoCals USC’s premier five-time ICCA championship-winning a cappella group where he serves as both a social media manager and arranger for the group. In 2024 he began posting mini a cappella covers on Instagram and TikTok which quickly started reaching wider audiences and opened doors to arrange for groups including the legendary Oakwood Aeolians, a Grammy-winning vocal ensemble known for performing alongside artists such as Jacob Collier.

Casey’s goal with every arrangement is to make something he would never get bored of hearing himself. He always aims to create arrangements that feel fresh, exciting, and rewarding for both the singers and the audience.
