katabastic editions is a bit of a bowdlerization of the greek word κατάβασις which is a descent into and/or vision of the underworld, like virgil and dante's hike through hell. i'm mixing my latin and greek now, so it's time to move to a new paragraph.

i would say my goal here is to have a little place where i decide who lives and who dies, as far as publishing things people i admire have written which might not find a loving home elsewhere. that's where you and your disposable income come in. we can and will do this without you, but you sure could help out. these wares are fine; you'll not be led astray here.
