I am a local candle maker from Indianapolis, Indiana. The idea Kigen Candles started back in the Fall of 2010. It all started from my addiction for candles, I absolutely loved to burn candles and melt tarts in my warmers. I found that time after time of purchasing candles that smell good in the store, but while burning they didn’t release any fragrance at all. Also I was tired of purchasing candles that don't burn right and tunnels, leaving wax on the sides of the jar. So I decided it was time to research and create a product that would have a clean burn, and was highly scented more than any other store bought candle.
After many years of testing and researching different types of wax, supplies, and products. We were able to learn so much during this trial and error time while developing our products. We had so many long days and sleepless nights. Then finally we found the perfect formula ensuring, the fragrance is throughout the whole burn of our products and they don’t tunnel down the middle.
Today our candle making process starts in the kitchen of our own home. We carefully hand pour each and every one of our products individually. Our candles are made with 100% soy wax.
Why soy wax? It’s because it burns at a lower melting point making, which releases the max fragrance throughout the whole burn of our products. We have mastered and created a perfect formula. Our formula allows us to add the MAX amount of fragrance that soy wax can possibly hold. This allows us to provide high quality products for our customers, ensuring them that they will NEVER want another product other than Kigen Candles.
