Kim Robinson

Mutterings of an Old Woman is a collection of newspaper articles written by the late Betty Robinson, commissioned by me, Kim Robinson, Betty's daughter. This book was created to memorialize my mother who was a lifetime resident of Gore Bay and well-known writer on Manitoulin Island. Her stories were originally published in the Manitoulin West Recorder starting in May 1999 and continued until just after her 90th birthday in the summer of 2012.

Make light of growing old with this one of a kind read. Her stories capture the adversity and amusement of dealing with every day life struggles, including the biggest culprit of all; aging. Learn to laugh at misfortune and smile at the challenges ahead. As the first line of the book reads, “There is no scarcity of comedy in old age.”
