Life of an Independent Business owner can have you feeling so many emotions. Not only is it rewarding to own your own business, it’s also very stressful. This is not for the weak, and you’ll be mentally and physically exhausted. The best part about it though, is not working for anyone but yourself. If you are like me who hates working for company’s that don’t give a shit about your personal life outside of working hours, this career IS for you. I remember years ago when I was working for a huge company and man when I tell you I was STRESSED, it’s like I was walking on egg shells. God forbid I asked for a day off to go to the doctor. I don’t miss that one bit, and you won’t either. Being an Independent Beauty Professional has changed my perspective on life. I have full 100% freedom of my schedule, work life balance, financial stability, and the best part.. I can take my career with me if I decide I don’t like the salon I’m at. If you aren’t sure if this is the route you want to take, I guarantee you will be SO happy once you do. The hustle is real, and you’ll want to give up, DONT. 1-2 years and you’ll be just where you want to be. My best advice is this, have patience, trust in god, and don’t stop advertising yourself. If I can do it, so can you!
