Hello, I’m Danielle, a proud heart mum and the creator behind this little corner of the internet.

Our baby was diagnosed with Transposition of the Great Arteries when I was 22 weeks pregnant. Our world turned upside down and the months that followed were filled with endless scans, hospital appointments and ample amounts of research. After having his arterial switch at 5 days old, he went through the motions of recovery with ups and downs but thankfully now he’s going from strength to strength.

As our little one grew stronger and the time came to start nursery, I realised how much information there was to share with staff. I wanted to make sure they understood not only the medical details but also the small things that make such a big difference.

That is how this nursery information template began - something to make life a little easier for other heart families walking a similar path.
