Storytelling has always been Deserie’s language. As a child she wrote to understand life; film school taught her how to translate that inner voice into screenplays, motion, and stills. From screenwriting she stepped into filmmaking and photography, and there she found what she calls realism without the journal, visual truth that doesn’t need to be explained, only felt.
Authenticity and truth are the pillars of her work. She looks for the unguarded moment, the laugh, the wrinkle at the corner of an eye, the small ritual that holds a person’s history. Her mission with DoubleDub Visuals is simple and profound: to create work that grounds people in who they are and inspires them to keep showing up for their story.

She began to treat her creative practice like the sacred work it is: grounding with morning breathwork or a walk in nature, going back to the gym to center her body, and using audio journaling to capture ideas and course-correct in real time. Storytelling remained her therapy but now it’s a disciplined practice, tempered by the imperative to protect her well-being.
“So protect your peace by any means necessary,” she says, a mantra that now underpins how she runs her studio and chooses collaborations.

”I have a few projects that I have been working on and am very excited for, though I cannot speak too much on them; once they are done, the public will see them unfold. I am excited about one series that will definitely impact the people in our culture and help motivate and inspire.”
