Lamar & Mary Agnes Fine were partners for many years in their own income tax business, FINE INCOME TAX SERVICE... After retiring from the tax business, the Mother & Son team began writing.

 In 1999, they published their first Novel, Yesterday’s Gone, which became a 2 Time Regional Novel of the Year… They followed up with four more books, each of which were Regional Best Sellers. Over the next decade, they toured and promoted their books all over the Southeastern United States.

In 2012 Mary Agnes' husband and Lamar's Dad, W.C., was Diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease., and they made the decision to put their writing on hold to take care of him and make sure he could live out his final years in his own home… It was a decision they never regretted.

Following his death in 2021, they resumed their writing, and published their 6th Book, Yesterday’s Child in January 2023... It is the 4th Novel in the Yesterday’s Series.

In January 2024, Mary Agnes & Lamar Released their Latest Novel, Yesterday's Revealing, (the 5th in Yesterday's Series and 7th overall).

They launched their Online Store in October 2022 to allow their readers to download their E-Books immediately and to purchase their Paperbacks without the necessity of mailing a check. This is much more convenient to you the reader and allows the Fines to get their books in your hands much faster.

Yesterday’s Gone is the story of Jack and Mary… childhood sweethearts and teenage lovers, who dream of one day being married... Jack is a minor league baseball player, trying to make it to the majors... Mary waits for awhile, then grows tired of waiting, and the book begins on the eve of her wedding to someone else.

While the books of the Yesterday’s Series are love stories, they are far more than that… They are stories of survival and success in a world where life isn't always kind. They prove that by believing in yourself and persevering, you can ultimately reach your goals… at least the important ones... and that while Yesterday's Gone... Tomorrow lies ahead.

The Fine's Other Two Books are Fun, Warm Remembrances of Growing Up… They are written through the eyes and thoughts of the little boy as he encounters the universal experiences of growing up… I Remember follows the little boy through age 12.

Discovering Girls & Other Alien Experiences begins at age 13… of being caught somewhere in between… no longer a child, but certainly not an adult… Dealing with Puberty, Adolescence, and finding the opposite sex to be both enticing and intimidating… You will laugh at the situations he finds himself in and be reminded of your own experiences at that time in your life.
