About Me
My knit designs consist of bold colors and simple shapes. I write my own lace patterns, and most of them are encoded with messages related to the design. Most designs have both written and charted instructions, and they have been reviewed by a tech editor and test knitters.
How did I get started?
My grandmother taught me to crochet when I was six. I have done it on and off ever since. Many people tried to teach me to knit, but it did not stick until I broke my toe, and my friend Earl took advantage of the situation. He parked me on the couch (there was a bottle of wine involved) and taught me to knit continental style. I was hooked.
I am sarcastic, and have been called opinionated and overbearing. I love cooking, knitting and have reluctantly learned to play chess since my son became passionate about it 7 years ago. I am surprised to find that I really like New Jersey. Growing up in Philly, I NEVER expected to grow up and become a Jersey Girl.
