I'm a travel lover from Ireland with a particular passion for solo travel and exploring some of the world's most beautiful places.

I've travelled solo, lived abroad and worked in different countries, and I've learned that planning a trip can sometimes feel just as overwhelming as the trip itself! There are so many things to research, book and figure out — especially when you're visiting somewhere for the first time.

I created LKSoloTravels to make that process a little easier.

I previously lived and worked in Banff, Canada, which gave me the opportunity to explore the Canadian Rockies while also learning the practical side of travelling around the area. I've created my Banff guides based on my own experience, with the aim of giving you the useful information I wish I'd had when planning my own trips.

Alongside my Banff guides, I've also created The Solo Traveller's Guide Book — a practical guide for anyone thinking about taking their first solo trip or wanting to feel more confident travelling alone. It covers everything from planning and budgeting to safety, transport, making friends, dealing with homesickness and all those little things you don't always think about before setting off.
