Welcome to Leading Through Loss

Ministry teaches us how to lead, but rarely how to lose. When members leave, ministries shift, or trusted relationships change, leaders are often left to grieve silently while still serving publicly. Leading Through Loss offers a real, reflective look at the emotional weight of ministry transitions, and gives pastors, leaders, and caregivers the permission, language, and tools to process grief while continuing to lead with integrity and hope.

You're not alone. Your pain has purpose. Healing is possible.

What people are saying

Artboard 1

Leading Through Loss is a practical and insightful guide for both seasoned pastors, who can reflect on their experiences of grieving with their congregations, and newly installed pastors, who are preparing to navigate loss in ministry. It emphasizes the vital role of self-examination in pastoral leadership. Church leaders of all kinds will also find this book a valuable and encouraging resource. As a professor of Christian Education, I believe this book would serve as an excellent resource for the course Psychology of Christian Education, particularly in its exploration of emotional development.”

Dr. Sandra Coley - Professor of Christian Education - Shaw University
