About Me

Hi! I’m Renegade Coach Gemma Cat!

Recalibrate was born out of my desire to help more people challenge the idea that there's only one right way to build a meaningful life.

So, where did my philosophical approach come from?

Several places. My educational background certainly played a role, as did what I discovered while working with coaching clients. But if I'm being honest, the biggest influence has always been my renegade personality.

I've never been particularly good at following the prescribed path. It always seemed like the safest route, but also the least interesting. I wanted to explore, question, experiment, and discover my own way of doing things. Was it scary? Hell yeah. Bucking the system isn't easy.

Don't get me wrong. There were times I tried to play Simon Says because that's what we're "supposed" to do, right? It just never felt right. So I kept returning to my own path, even when I doubted myself, even when it wasn't pretty. Looking back, I can honestly say I was far happier living life on my own terms than trying to fit into someone else's blueprint. I'll save those stories for another time.

My perspective is also shaped by my studies in psychology (my bachelor's), and teachings from my Life Purpose Coach certification. It led me to create Imposter Syndrome Breakthrough & Confidence Booster, a course designed to help people move beyond self-doubt. They also became the foundation of my coaching work, where I had the privilege of helping clients overcome limiting beliefs and successfully earn promotions they once believed were beyond their reach.

Over the years, I began noticing something deeper. Whether someone struggled with confidence, career decisions, or simply felt behind in life, the root issue was often the same. They were measuring themselves against someone else's definition of success.

That realization hit home because I had wrestled with it myself. Following my own path didn't mean I never questioned it. I did. But today, I have complete confidence in my direction, regardless of how different it looks from someone else's or whether it fits society's definition of success.

That journey became the foundation for Recalibrate. I didn't want to write another Simon Says book telling you what your life should look like. And, I didn't want my Life Recalibration material to offer platitudes stating the obvious. Instead, I want to invite you to pause, reflect, recalibrate, and discover the direction that is genuinely right for you.

Wishing you a life that is authentically yours.
