In the Symposium, Plato recounts the thought of Socrates, for whom love begins as an attraction to what is beautiful and becomes the desire to give birth in beauty: works, thought, teaching. Everything I have done —curating exhibitions, writing books, teaching — springs from this same desire. These activities have been, and still are, my way of answering that call and sharing it with students, scholars, and enthusiasts.
