About Me
Hi, I’m Autumn!
I’m a homeschooling mom of four and the creator behind Little Roots Learning.
My journey began when I pulled my oldest child from school during the COVID years. After watching him struggle with online kindergarten, I began searching for a gentler way to learn—one that protected childhood, encouraged curiosity, and allowed children to move, play, explore, and grow at their own pace.
Years later, I found myself needing that same bridge for my younger children: something between fully play-based early learning and the expectations of traditional kindergarten. When I couldn’t find exactly what our family needed, I began creating it myself.
Little Roots Learning grew from the lessons, activities, and resources I was already making for my own children. Every curriculum is thoughtfully written and created to support real families through short lessons, hands-on exploration, nature study, movement, creativity, and meaningful connection.
My resources are designed primarily for children ages 2–9, with flexible options that allow siblings at different stages to learn alongside one another.
There is no pressure to complete every page or make every child’s work look the same. You are encouraged to follow your child’s curiosity and adapt each resource to fit your family.
The name Little Roots is inspired by Colossians 2:6–7 and the desire to help children become rooted in Christ, built up in faith, and filled with gratitude.
It is a privilege to create these resources, and I give all the glory to the Lord for how this little community has grown.
Thank you for allowing Little Roots Learning to become part of your family’s story.
