The Restore Method

A structured, nervous-system-based yoga programme for anxiety, persistent tension, and desk-related pain.

"After just two weeks, my lower back pain softened and I finally understood why slowing down mattered. I feel calmer and more connected to my body"

  • Claire D, France

The Restore Method

I created The Restore Method because I care deeply about helping people feel at home in their bodies again.

Over the years, including many years teaching and guiding students in France, I’ve worked with individuals living with ongoing tension, anxiety, stiffness, and discomfort — people who are capable and intelligent, yet feel frustrated by how their bodies respond.

This programme was built from that experience and from a genuine desire to improve people’s quality of life. It’s designed to gently guide your body out of protection mode and back into steadiness through calm, structured movement and clear nervous system education.

This is not about pushing harder.

It’s about restoring safety, mobility, and trust in your body.

Who is this for?

This programme is for you if:

  • You feel anxious, wired, or unable to fully relax

  • You experience persistent stiffness or recurring discomfort
  • You feel hesitant about movement or worry it might make things worse
  • You want a calm, intelligent approach rather than intensity

Who is this NOT for?

This programme may not be right for you if:

  • You’re looking for high-intensity workouts
  • You prefer aggressive stretching or pushing through discomfort
  • You expect fast, dramatic results
  • You’re seeking performance-based fitness rather than restorative progression

The Restore Method is steady, progressive, and grounded in nervous system education. It supports sustainable change — not quick fixes.

What you will Receive

When you join Level 1, you will receive:

  • A clearly organised programme divided into structured modules
  • Short, focused educational lessons explaining anxiety, persistent pain, and nervous system responses
  • Guided restorative practices (approximately 20 minutes each)
  • 15-Minute Guided Integration – Designed to help your body settle and absorb the work.
  • 7-Minute Short-Form Integration – A condensed version for days when time is limited but your body still needs to settle
  • 16-Minute Guided Deep Relaxation – To support full release of tension and guide you into a deeply restorative state.
  • A dedicated guided breath session teaching you how to use your full lung capacity and breathe into the belly with awareness
  • Movement for the entire body — including wrists, shoulders, spine, hips, knees, and ankles
  • Demonstrations of safe positioning using pillows and cushions
  • Clear explanations of joint space, sensitivity, and movement preferences
  • The ability to move through the programme at your own pace
  • Ongoing access to revisit the material whenever needed

Everything is designed to feel contained, progressive, and easy to follow.

Bonus Practices

To give you flexibility and choice within your practice, you’ll also receive the following additional sessions:

Desk Reset Practice

A short, focused sequence designed to release tension in the neck, shoulders, and spine. Ideal for workdays, long hours at a desk, or whenever your body feels tight and fatigued.

Full-Body Session (19 Minutes)

A balanced, time-efficient practice that gently mobilizes and regulates the entire body. Perfect for weeks when your schedule is full and you prefer to move everything in one session.

Full-Body Session (23 Minutes)

A slightly longer full-body experience offering a more spacious pace while still remaining accessible. A supportive option when you want variety or prefer not to split sessions across multiple days.

These additional practices allow you to adapt the program to your life. Whether you’re short on time, craving variation, or simply wanting a different rhythm for the week, you have options that continue to support your nervous system and your body as a whole.

"The structure helped me stay consistent instead of jumping between random videos and it is deeply calming."

  • Marie D, Paris

What you can Expect

This programme does not promise to “fix” you.

Instead, with consistent practice, you may begin to notice:

  • Reduced muscle guarding in the neck, shoulders, and back
  • Increased joint flexibility over time
  • Better mobility throughout the body — including wrists and smaller joints
  • A greater sense of space in areas that previously felt compressed or restricted
  • Improved breathing awareness
  • Less fear around movement and sensation
  • A calmer internal state
  • Greater presence and connection within your body

As the nervous system shifts out of protection and into regulation, many people experience a quieter mind, steadier emotions, and an improved sense of safety.

For some, reduced pain occurs simply because the joints begin moving again in a safe, supported way. When we gently create space in the body and reduce protective tension, discomfort can ease naturally.

Small, consistent signals of safety and movement can create meaningful change over time.

"For the first time in years, I feel safe moving in my body again. The slow pace made such difference."

  • Anne - Laure, Paris

"My shoulder tension softened within weeks. I did not realise how much tension I was holding."

  • Sophie L, Eure et Loire

How to use this program

The Restore Method - Level 1 is designed to be followed in order, especially the first time through.

Each module builds gently and progressively.

Aim to practise consistently — ideally around five times per week, or as often as your schedule allows.

Consistency is more important than intensity. Small, repeated signals of safety are what create change.

All movement practices are beneficial, even if you don’t currently feel discomfort in a specific area.

I recommend moving through the whole body over time. However, if you’re experiencing pain in one particular region, you’re welcome to revisit that section more frequently while still including the others.

This program includes relaxation and integration practices, ideally done after your movement session. This is often where the nervous system begins to soften and fully absorb the work.

If you’re able to do one of the relaxation or integration practices immediately after your movement practice, that is ideal.

If time is limited, that’s completely okay too. Each session ends with three calming breaths. After those breaths, take 30–60 seconds with your eyes closed and simply notice how your body feels before continuing with your day.

The longer relaxation practice can also be done later. Many people find it especially supportive in the evening, before sleep.

There is also a guided breath practice, which can be used before your sessions or independently throughout the day whenever you need a reset.

Each session begins with three calming breaths to help you settle. If you’re unable to do the full guided breath practice, before movement, that’s absolutely fine—simply become familiar with the rhythm and return to it often, as repetition gently supports your nervous system in settling over time.

Move at your own pace. You can revisit any lesson whenever you need to.

"This felt completely different to other yoga classes. I left feeling calm instead of exhausted"

About Alexa

Hi, I’m Alexa.

Yoga has been part of my life for over 20 years, and I’ve been teaching since 2014. Over that time, I’ve worked with thousands of people — in studios, workshops, retreats, and private sessions — supporting them through pain, injury, anxiety, burnout, and the quiet overwhelm that so many of us carry.

Through years of teaching, studying, and listening closely to the bodies in front of me, one truth has become very clear: most people are not broken. Their nervous systems are simply tired. Protective. Overworked.

Yoga, at its heart, was never meant to be about pushing or performing. It is about finding balance — between the physical, the mental, and the emotional aspects of ourselves. It is about learning how to live in our bodies with steadiness and awareness.

The Restore Method grew from this understanding.

It combines traditional yoga principles with modern nervous system education, creating a way of moving that is gentle, intelligent, and deeply regulating.

The movements are intentionally simple and easy to achieve, so that almost anyone can do them — without strain, without performance, and without losing connection to themselves in the process.

This work isn’t about complicated sequences or extreme flexibility.

It’s about small, meaningful movements done with awareness.

Movements that allow you to stay present. To feel your breath. To notice where your true midpoint is.

I designed this method especially for people who feel anxious, disconnected, or hesitant to move because of pain. For people who have tried pushing harder — and discovered that it didn’t help.

I care deeply about helping people feel safe in their bodies again. Not just flexible. Not just stronger. But calm. Steady. At home.

When the breath slows and the nervous system settles, something beautiful happens. Muscles soften. The mind quiets. There’s often a subtle shift — a feeling of relief, of grounding, of simply being here.

That’s the space I guide you toward.

If you’re here, you’re not behind. You’re not weak. You’re not failing.

You’re ready for a different pace.

And I would be honoured to guide you there.
