About Louis Berry

I write literary fiction set in Florida and the Gulf South. My novels deal with institutional corruption, trafficking, and ordinary people standing up to entrenched power. My aim as a writer is to bear witness, not to comfort.

My catalogue includes The Surrency Affair, Seeking Trinity, The Everglades, and The McVie Files series (Task Force Vigilante and Madeline, with a third book on the way). You can read the books in English, Italian, Spanish, French, German, Dutch, and Japanese.

Before writing novels, I punted for the Florida State Seminoles and was a three-time AP All-American honorable mention. Today I'm a CPA in Windermere, Florida. That work shows me how money and power actually move, and it shapes everything I write.

Welcome. I'm glad you found your way here.
