About Louise
Louise Lloyd-Thomas achieved her dream of becoming a freelance writer after being fired from her token Fortune 500 job for complaining and not being "appreciative" enough for the opportunity. (The company wanted to hire someone with a disability.)
Born and raised in Manhattan, when this job ended in 2004, she moved to Oregon to start a new chapter.
With a B.A. in English, Louise previously worked for publishing companies in the editorial and marketing departments. She was also Acting Managing Editor of a start-up print magazine. Now Louise is a copywriter and ghostwriter for small businesses and well-known brands.
Louise is also an award-winning essayist and a fiction writer with short stories appearing in anthologies. She created the Freelance Writing Success book series for aspiring and established writers. How Writers Make Money is the book she wished had been available when she started her writing business.
Her favorite things include reading, music, walking alone in nature, eating cheese, and cuddling with Persian cats.
