About Me

My name is Luna, and my daily reality looks a bit different than most. I am a 43-year-old mom living with a rare genetic connective tissue disease. I am mostly housebound, use a wheelchair when I do leave, and rely on TPN nutrition and IV hydration to keep my body going.

But if you look around my home, you wouldn’t see a sterile medical environment. You would see a living, breathing sanctuary! 🏡❤️

Right now, I am raising a miracle house chicken named Abbie (who hatched in a compost bucket during a heatwave!). But she’s just the start. My days are filled with 2 dogs, a cat, 2 hermit crabs, 3 goldfish, a rabbit, 2 goats, a beautiful KuneKune pig, and our outdoor flock. 🐥🐖🐐 I wouldn't be able to do any of it without my bestie boyfriend Jonathan handling the heavy stuff 🤩

Against all odds, I am also a passionate forager, and a wildcrafter. I've been working on my cookbook but it got delayed for a couple of years with the decline of my health however it never got canceled 🥰🤣 I'm so thankful to be working on it again! In the meantime here's a sneek peek! I choose to find immense joy, purpose, and magic in the little things every single day... because I almost lost it all for good and I'll never forget what I have.
