African Centered Homeschool Co-op

Our homeschool co-op is designed to bring back the village. We work to create a learning environment for parents, teachers and students and provide educational resources that empower black families. We teach history, literacy, arts and crafts plus many other classes that build strong leaders.

Youth Classes

  • Black History

Our mission is to provide a culturally grounded educational space where children learn the true history of Africa and the African diaspora while developing pride, identity, and purpose. Guided by the principle of Sankofa “go back and get it” we believe that understanding our past empowers our children to walk confidently into their future.

  • Black Literacy

Our Black Literacy Program provides culturally affirming reading and writing activities that highlight positive representation of Black people, history, and culture. Through engaging worksheets and literacy exercises, children build strong reading and writing skills while developing pride, confidence, and a deeper connection to their identity.

  • Arts & Crafts

Our Arts & Crafts program encourages children to explore a variety of artistic styles and creative techniques. Through painting, drawing, crafting, and hands-on projects, students are given the space to express their thoughts, emotions, and imagination in a healthy and supportive environment.

  • Political Education

Our Political Education program helps children develop social awareness and understand how communities, governments, and civic systems work. Through age-appropriate discussions and activities, students learn about leadership, justice, community responsibility, and the importance of using their voice to create positive change.

  • Gardening

Our Gardening Program teaches children how to grow fruits, vegetables, and herbs while learning about nature and the environment. Through hands-on gardening activities, students develop responsibility, patience, and an appreciation for where their food comes from.

  • Multilingual Classes

Our Multilingual Program introduces children to beginner-level language learning while highlighting the benefits of being multilingual. Students are exposed to Swahili, Spanish, Japanese, Sign Language, and Medu Neter, helping them develop communication skills, cultural awareness, and confidence while opening the door to greater career opportunities in the future.
