I am a half-African-American, half-Ghanaian woman who was born and raised in the great state of Georgia. My passion for fantasy writing evolved partly from the joy of creating new and exciting worlds for people to enjoy. It also evolved from my desire to speak about issues that affect everyday people. From politics, to global warming, to war, to poverty, and other issues fantasy has a way of making people look at it. So that hopefully some of the people who read my stories will start thinking more about how we should take a stance on changing problems the world faces. I also get a lot of inspiration from my twin cultural heritage. All of my life I have taken a lot of pride in who I am, my culture and my people’s history. I feel by including elements in my stories I’m able to create unique stories that are thrilling to read.
