About Me
Welcome to Make Math Fun!
Why I Teach
Kids come into our classrooms carrying far more than just a backpack. Some can barely get out of bed, others don't want to be at school, and many try and try, yet still struggle to understand or remember math concepts.
I became a teacher to help kids love learning. My mission isn't just about passing state exams, getting into a good college, or preparing future engineers (though those things matter!). It’s about something much bigger. Even if a student never factors a quadratic equation again after high school, they will still face real-life problems that don't go away.
Rigor, Community, and Joy
Making math fun doesn't mean shying away from rigor or using proper vocabulary in math class. Instead, it means that we invite all-level learners to feel a part of learning and community in the classroom.
We can maintain high standards and still engage kids in challenging math concepts and problems through play and connection. In fact, the fun helps them stay in the struggle so they realize they are capable of so much more than they think. When they tackle a difficult problem, they build a deep-rooted confidence to face real-world challenges and move forward.
That is why I teach, and why I inspire others to make math fun—so it sticks and matters, helping students develop into the full human beings they were meant to be.
For Every Kind of Learner
I love helping students who naturally excel and have a logical way of thinking push their limits and reach new heights. At the same time, my heart is especially for the ones who struggle every day and work so hard—the ones who need a little laughter and connection to keep going.
For Teachers, Too
I know how exhausting teaching can be. I created these games for educators who might be feeling burnt out, are short on prep time, or simply want to try something new to engage your students. You deserve easy-to-use, engaging resources that make math fun for your students without adding to your stress. Above all, I want kids to love learning and realize that they are valuable no matter what their math score says.
Thank you for being here and for joining in the mission to make math fun, make it stick and make it matter! Let's do it together!
Blessings to you and yours,
Naomie
