Marcus Kemp is a poet and author of the new novel Fremont Street Angel, the first book in the Rico Cruz thriller series.

Rico Cruz is a former soldier with a violent past. Rico drifts around, meets the predators, and makes them regret their life choices.

Set in Las Vegas, Fremont Street Angel launches a hard-boiled action thriller series about corruption, violence, and one dangerous man who refuses to look away.

Kemp is bilingual, and that often shows in his fiction: many of his characters move between languages, cultures, and identities.

The second Rico Cruz thriller, Still Water Reckoning, is planned for release in late 2026.
