LaDeirdre (Dee-Dee) Forehand is a certified Merchant Mariner, crane operator, and author of the Granny and Me children’s book series.

After years in the medical field, she transitioned to maritime life in 2019, completing her training at Bluewater Maritime School in Jacksonville, FL.

She’s worked on multiple vessels, operated cranes, handled deck gear, and shared her journey on social media to help others break into this industry. She also served as a marketing and sales rep for Bluewater Maritime visiting schools, career fairs, and community events to inspire others.

Through her story, she’s helping women, career changers, and everyday people believe that it’s never too late to change your life.
