Silhouette listings include 4 types.

PNG Viewing File

This is a file set to 12 Inches tall at a high resolution of 300 DPI (Dots Per Inch) which can be used for crafting projects such as prints for bags and tumblers, stickers and greeting cards to name just a few. All of our PNG files are true PNG meaning the backgrounds are transparent making them perfect for easily adding to an already existing graphics project.

PDF Vector File

This is a scalable and editable PDF file. This means you can increase the size of the image to any size you like without causing any distortion to the resolution. This file can be used in the same way as the PNG Viewing File with the added benefit of being scalable without losing quality to the image.

SVG Vector File

This is another true vector file that is completely editable and scalable without losing quality to the image. You may use this file in applications such as Adobe Illustrator or InkScape (Free) to make any modifications you would like. If you would like a modification made, but are not comfortable doing it yourself, simply send us a message and we’ll look after it right away.

PDF Print Shop Files

These files are similar to the PDF vector files except they include the addition of a separate layer cutting path (represented as a thin pink line running around the perimeter of the image). These files are set up to be sent to your professional print shop of choice. Most listings will include options such as 24”, 36”, 48”, 60”, and 72” heights. For indoor decorations we recommend having the files printed on 100 lb poster paper for wall decorations, foam board for standees and cutout props. Other options include vinyl, window graphics, decals, and fabric. For outdoor decorations we strongly recommend 4mm or 10mm Coroplast (corrugated plastic) as it is durable and weather resistant. The 4mm material can be mounted into the lawn using metal H-Frames while the 10mm material can be mounted in the yard using metal poles through the vertical flutes.

Multiple Page Print At Home Files

These are PDF files that contain multiple pages that are designed to be printed from your home or office printer. If you don’t have a home printer, Staples or Walgreens can look after this for you. The pages of your life size or large prop will print out on standard letter size paper (8.5 inches x 11 inches) in the order they go together. Each page is also numbered to make putting them together easier. Once all the pages are together you can secure them to a material backing such as cardboard, cardstock, or foam board for indoor decorations. For outdoor decorations you may use the printed result as a template to make your decorations out of wood.

Silhouette Listings

These listings include the PNG Viewing File, PDF Vector File, and SVG Vector File, as well as the Multiple Page Print At Home Files. They do not include the PDF Print Shop Files with Cutting Paths. If you would like these files for this type of listing send me a message.

The Multiple Page Print At Home Files for Silhouettes are a little different as we did not want you to have to print solid black on multiple pages, running through lots of ink. Therefore we included a pink cutting path for you to use as an easy guide. We also added a 5% grey fill into the silhouette space so that you will know which side of the cutting path to cut without having to sacrifice tons of ink in the process. The typical cost in ink to print these files is between $0.50 and $2.50 Canadian depending on the size of the template.
