We Are The Collective

for mages, misfits, and myth-weavers

Matterz Collective was born from a simple question: "what matters?"

And for our founder, Imani Christina, a black, queer, & non-binary sorcerer from Philadelphia, there were many answers, the most important being: magick.

"Magick is the ancient art of taking life into our own hands," says Imani, who began doing this work professionally in their second-year university apartment, with encouragement from Tumblr witches, a lover, and a mental illness that sought to swallow them whole.

Magick became more than a fantasy or belief. It became a mechanism for finding and obtaining what truly mattered. It was about creating a world where other witches and weirdos could be themselves, without fear of persecution or prohibition.

It's about doing.



Being.

So here, we craft tools and systems that turn "woo" into "wisdom" and dreams into reality. We offer content and creations to stir the soul and inspire others to make more magick in their lives.

Though there's a little gatekeeping (to keep those within our community safe), we pride ourselves on building an accepting and open community where evolution, exploration, and ecstasy are the only laws. There's no prerequisite, no dogma; just radical freedom and the audacity to question what a limitless life would look like.
