Hi — I'm Melissa LaCour, a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Louisiana, and an adoptee.

I specialize in working with adult adoptees, adoptive families, and birth parents navigating the lifelong impact of adoption. I created the Belonging workbook series because I know — personally and professionally — what it feels like to carry adoption-related grief, identity questions, and complicated feelings without a place to put them.

These resources were written from the inside out. Not from a clinical distance. From the experience of someone who has lived the questions, and spent years helping others find language for them.
