A Note from the Author

There are moments in life when the path we imagined for ourselves changes completely.

I know what it feels like to stand at a point where you have to pause, reassess your life, and find the courage to begin again. Through my own experiences, I learned that rebuilding is not always about making huge changes. Sometimes, it begins with something much smaller — understanding your emotions, taking care of yourself, becoming financially aware, creating healthy routines, and taking one honest step at a time.

One of the most important lessons I have learned is the value of having your own identity, your own skills, and a source of financial independence. Not because life should be lived with fear, but because having the ability to support yourself can give you greater freedom to make thoughtful choices when life becomes difficult.

I also learned that emotions deserve to be acknowledged, but they don't always need to make our decisions for us. Writing things down, practising mindfulness, creating simple routines, staying connected with people, and making time for yourself can gradually bring clarity during uncertain seasons.

I created When Life Changes, You Can Too to share these lessons in a practical way.

This is not a book that promises to have all the answers. It is a companion for reflection — a place to pause, write, understand yourself a little better, and think about what you want your next chapter to look like.

The guided exercises and journal pages are intentionally simple. You don't have to complete everything perfectly. You don't have to change your life overnight.

Just begin where you are.

If even one page helps you understand yourself better, take one small step forward, or remember your own strength, then this book has served its purpose.

Your past may be part of your story, but it does not have to define everything that comes next.

With warmth,

The Millennial Mom
