A young woman of many tragedies and triumphs, Minyette Young is an overcomer. Born in Bogalusa, Louisiana and raised in Silver Creek, Mississippi. Minyette prides herself as being a community leader that focuses on uplifting and encouraging women that are experiencing life issues. She is heavily engaged in the Houston area, where she mentors formerly incarcerated women.
Minyette has been a consummate nonprofit professional for five years. In 2018 she was a recipient of the Goodwill Morton Achievement Award, one of Goodwill’s highest honors. In 2018 Minyette executed her first ever Women Empowerment Conference geared towards helping women who experienced difficult times in their life. Minyette attributes her success to God, her mother and her gift to help others.
