About Me

I'm Peter. I install cabinets for a living.

Seven years in — starting in the shop, then subbing for builders, now running my own crew in Idaho. Nobody handed me a path into this. I figured out the tools, the math, the job sites, and the business side the slow way, mostly by getting things wrong first.

That's why I write what I write. The trades don't have an on-ramp. There's plenty of guys filming themselves on a job site, and almost nothing that tells a young man what the work actually asks of him — how to show up, what to buy, how to talk to a builder, how to not get run off in the first month.

No guru stuff here. No six-figure-in-six-months talk. Just what I've learned holding a level, and the standard I try to hold myself to as a craftsman and a Christian.

If you're starting out, or you're someone's dad trying to point them somewhere real, you're in the right place.
