Sparring

In Korean martial art, sparring is a kind of learning game. It gives students a chance to practice basic martial art skills in a fun, safe environment.

The rules of sparring are "no touch." That means that our goal in scoring is to get as close as we can to the target without touching.

That said, the rules allow for "light touch," which means students may tap their target and still score.

Point-sparring gear is not meant to protect from full-force blows. It is protection from the accidental application of excess force.
