About my Knitting Patterns

  • Olive green hand knit sock, a sock being knit and a basket of yarn, in a sunny garden in Provence, the South of France. The sock has a leaf motif.

    Crafted with Care and Experience

With professional experience as a translator and proofreader — having translated 100+ knitting & crochet patterns — I write patterns that are clear, precise, and easy to follow.

  • Mockup of digital knitting patterns being displayed on an iPad screen, the knitting patterns are of socks.

    Optimized for Digital & Print

All knitting patterns include 2 versions:

    • A photo-rich digital version with a pleasant layout, in full colour.
    • A home printer-firendly greyscale version, optimized to save ink and paper.
  • A colorwork sock featuring a flower motif in earthy tones of green and beige, resting on a table. Someone is knitting a new sock in olive green and drinking coffee. A relaxing day, knitting in the garden in a sunny Provence, France.

    For Every Knitter

My knitting patterns are written with the “adventurous beginner” in mind – with plenty of tips along the way to support your learning – without distracting the seasoned knitter.

  • A forest green sock being knit while drinking a cup of coffee, in the garden. A cozy and crafty time in Provence, France.

    Enjoying the Process

I take great pleasure in crafting layouts, charts and graphic elements for my patterns. I believe in taking the extra time to make it look nice — because a well-designed pattern makes all the difference when you’re spending hours with it ! ☺

About Me

MysakKnits

Knitter - Designer - Translator

Originally from the North of Sweden but living in the South of France - I try to incorporate the best of both worlds into my designs. Where the cozy "cabin in the woods"-like rustic vibes from my childhood meet a French je-ne-sais-quoi. For my knitting patterns, I mostly draw inspiration from Nature and Art History (Fine Arts, Design and Architecture).

Passionate about sharing my love of this wonderful craft, I take great pleasure in translating knitting patterns - making them accessible for a new audience. So far, I've translated over 100+ knitting and crochet patterns (French to English).

Outside of knitting, I’m a Teacher in Art (theory & practice) and Languages (French, Swedish, English). I’d like to think that this helps me in the pattern writing process.

My favourite thing to knit is definitely socks !
