Today's been calm (not less hot than the previous day, mind you--we've a heat advisory in Long Beach... yaay).
After a brief run to donate plasma, I began rewritting the story previously titled "What the Hollow Holds" there was a lot missing and I wasn't following the story all that well in my mind... there was something missing. I believe now to know the reason.
A recent video I watched
In short (as I know many desire the recap) the video proposes a few short steps to developing a short story. The ones I gravitated towards were:
- Write the same story from a different POV
- Create a ticking clock
- Bring in a prop / object intregal to the story.
I'm glad to announce the story has some movement!
