Howdy y'all,
This informal blog is coming on March 16th in the hovel I call a home. Hey y'all... it's hot! Spring's almost upon us, and the world's seemed to forget that Summer the next season over. I digress. While my stipulation on Climate Change never wavers, I feel a rambling coming on that deviates from the wonders of Myths & Fables.
Today was the official day I dedicated to writing full time and boy... let me tell you, it's not at all what it's cut out to be. While I tend to overromanticize the seasons of life, I dreamt of writing as a career choice to elevate me towards a better tomorrow. Instead (as is life), I find myself in the throes of "adulting", carrying for one thing after another. Whether it be my cat's mess, or my own, or food duties my wife bid me do. Whatever the case, I found some time to write and now, with the hour at hand to conclude my "9-5" I finish with the "Marketing Hour" of my day.
Today I managed to work on a piece I find myself struggling with. It's of a man with the invisible power to affect one's memory, taking from them (for instance) the image of a horse. From we see the person forget all things attached to that memory, noting the fragility of memory. He's dangerous, and our King cannot let that be, therefore he hunts him down.
It's a simple story, though I find it lacks... something. I'm not sure what. I'm still working out the kinks. Whatever the case, progress on Myths & Fables Vol. II is coming out shortly.
While you wait for your copy of Vol. I, please enjoy this play I performed!
