Honouring the Past: The 80th Anniversary of D-Day

As we approach the 80th anniversary of D-Day, it’s a time to reflect on the sacrifices made and the pivotal moments that shaped the course of history. To commemorate this significant event, I’ve embarked on a special project to create a series of unique coasters, each bearing a design that captures the essence of that historic day.

The Design

The centrepiece of the design is a poignant image of a soldier, representing the countless brave individuals who stepped onto the beaches of Normandy. Surrounding the soldier is a field of red poppies, a symbol of remembrance that has stood the test of time. Above, the words “D-DAY 1944-2024” and “80 YEARS” remind us of the distance we’ve come since that fateful day.
