Most of the resources we're offering on the Network Weaving Institute site are microprocesses: short activities, almost always under 15 minutes, easily facilitated by someone with little facilitation experience.
Why are they so important?
Each of these activities helps people in your network strengthen their capacity for relationship. They encourage people to interact as peers — listening to each other, collaborating and learning together. These are the relationship behaviors that make networks and collaborative projects genuinely more effective.
But for an activity to become transformative, it needs one more step: naming what's happening while you run it. Telling people, "this is a muscle you're building, and you can use it anywhere — your next team meeting, a hard conversation at home, your own daily life" — and then encouraging them to pass it on. That's the move that turns a simple activity into something that actually spreads, and begins to build an entire healthy culture.
I call this rippling. It's a small thing — one practice, handed from person to person — but enough of it, and we tip toward a culture that's genuinely caring and relationship-oriented, not just one that talks about being that way.
Please download as many of these resources as you like. Share them with others in your network or organization. Find a partner to figure out which ones you might try in the coming weeks — and someone to facilitate the activity with you.
All our resources here are free and Creative Commons licensed: use them, adapt them, share them. We always appreciate attribution, and if a small donation ever makes sense for you, it goes straight back into building more of these.
