About Me
I am a skilled and highly qualified primary school teacher with experience in a wide range of settings, including teaching in rural communities, curriculum leadership, working in schools in developing countries, and supporting home education families. I have a Master of Education degree where I specialised in learning difficulties, and I am passionate about using evidence-based practice to support all students to learn in ways that work for them. I believe that the true nature of learning lies in relationships, emotion, and play, and I always aim to prioritise these in my programs. I have been a Mathematics curriculum leader where my role was to help develop programs and pedagogies across Kindergarten - Year 6. I have also designed and facilitated gifted and talented programs across Year 1 – Year 6, in addition to my experience as a classroom teacher in a range of year levels. Throughout my teaching career and my work supporting families through Nurtured Learning, I have had the opportunity to work with children with a diverse range of backgrounds and needs.
