About Me
Cristy Gonzalez whose pen name is Ofelia Nibari, is a Garifuna queer
woman born and raised in the South Bronx and serves as a mindset
coach and non-profit leader. With a background in Psychology and
Black Studies, Cristy is passionate about education, advocating for
underserved and oppressed populations, DEI initiatives that foster
safe and inclusive environments for BIPOC groups, and personal
freedom and liberation.
When not leading dialogue circles and social emotional learning
workshops with teens and young adults, Cristy is coaching and
empowering other non-profit leaders and personnel to practice self-
care, set professional boundaries, share resources, and collaborate to
uplift the collective. Cristy is considered as a disruptor and activist
and uses social media as a tool to connect with other community-
based organizations, share insights on pop culture and politics, and
engage in discourse about a variety of different topics.
