Garry is a native Angeleno, father of two adult children, and a passionate advocate for lifelong learning which served as the inspiration for this book. Garry is also the author of an upcoming book entitled Keepin Yo Black Job, blending his professional experiences with his deep commitment to the service of others through personal and collective generousity. Additionally Garry is the creator of *Power Learning*, a course dedicated to empower students with strategic learning skills. A lifelong Laker fan and proud attendee of the historic Million Man March, Garry draws inspiration from both his local community and broader social movements in his work.
