About Me

Lora Holland is an outdoor educator, author, Certified Natural Health Practitioner, and Wilderness Survival Instructor with a passion for helping people feel more capable, comfortable, and connected in the outdoors.

Her approach brings together practical outdoor skills, preparedness, self-reliance, and a deep appreciation for the restorative experience of spending time in nature. Lora is also currently completing her training as a Forest Therapy Practitioner, expanding her work to include intentional nature connection and the relationship between time outdoors and personal well-being.

Through her One Campfire at a Time books and courses, Lora encourages people to move beyond simply visiting the outdoors—to learn from it, develop useful skills, slow down, and build confidence through experience.

Her work combines camping, wilderness skills, seasonal preparedness, nature connection, forest bathing, outdoor cooking, journaling, and mindful exploration in an approachable way that welcomes both newer campers and those looking to deepen their outdoor experience.

For Lora, the outdoors isn't about proving how tough you are. It's about becoming more prepared, more capable, and more connected—to nature and to yourself.

One campfire at a time.
