About Me

Oona is a British student studying Literature at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. She was born in London, England. While she predominantly works with watercolour paint, she also experiments with photography. She uses art as a way to articulate feelings that can’t be expressed by language.

Her work is inspired by fashion, film, literature, history—both past and present—and philosophers such as Plato and Simone de Beauvoir. She hopes her art communicates beauty and a sense of animation.

Oona focuses on rendering highly detailed paintings across a variety of subjects, including animals, faces, and small human figures. Her stye is loosely cultivated with large and quick brushstrokes layered and layered to create shadows and depth.

Her use of watercolour paint creates a unique subtlety in her paintings evoking a sense of softness.

Growing up in the English countryside has sparked her fascination with nature; A fascination that has enriched her artwork.

She is a self taught artist.
