I’m Frank Koczwara, author of Achieving Organizational Excellence is Easy. My worldwide career has been dedicated to one mission: helping organizations achieve excellence.

With degrees in Civil Engineering from Purdue University and early experience across Research, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Construction, I developed a deep understanding of how complex systems operate — and how they break down. That foundation shaped the approach I carried into roles at Exxon and later Amoco/bp, where I worked on major onshore and offshore developments around the world.

I challenged a long‑standing industry belief: that cost, schedule, and quality cannot all be excellent at the same time. By leading a worldwide benchmarking initiative, and directing subsequent improvement teams, I helped transform organizational culture, strengthen decision‑making, and deliver measurable performance improvements across global operations.

The material that emerged from this transformation became a repeatable, scalable system — one that proved effective across strategic, commercial, and project‑level initiatives in more than a dozen countries. I later presented this integrated framework, “Ideas to Reality,” at the University of Surrey, outlining how Strategy, Commercial, and Projects can function as a unified, high‑performance engine.

These experiences led to the development of Achieving Organizational Excellence is Easy, a practical system that enables organizations of any size to improve, manage, and measure performance.
